Our Story

Horizon Retreat began its journey in 2015 with a vision to create an extraordinary vacation experience. Having completed their first house in 2017, property owners Nikos and Maria dreamt of offering something unique, blending luxurious accommodations with stunning natural beauty. Nestled in the picturesque village of Antipata on the island of Kefalonia, Greece, the retreat was completed in the end of the summer of 2024. Our three traditional stone-built villas, each with private pools and sunset views, stand as a testament to their dedication and passion.

2018

Conceptualization
Nikos and Maria, after the successful completion of the first villa on their property, dreamed of establishing a distinctive retreat that harmoniously blends luxury with the beauty of nature, laying the groundwork for Horizon Retreat.

2019

Villa Delta Construction Begins
Having completed the first home on the property, we took a moment to reflect on our journey and solidified our vision for the future, which inspired us to embark on the exciting construction of Villa Delta, a project that represents the next step in our commitment to creating exceptional spaces within Horizon Retreat.

2020

Construction Continues
During the worldwide pandemic, when most operations came to a standstill due to safety concerns and restrictions, the construction industry managed to persevere and adapt, albeit at a slower pace than usual. While many projects faced delays and challenges, skilled workers and dedicated teams found innovative ways to continue their work, ensuring that vital infrastructures and new developments could still progress amid the uncertainty.

2021

Villa Pi Construction Begins
Villa Pi is officially commencing its construction, marking an exciting new chapter for Horizon Retreat. As the foundation is laid, the vision for this exquisite getaway comes to life, promising a unique blend of luxury and tranquility. Anticipation grows as each phase of the building process unfolds, bringing us closer to the completion of a serene haven where guests can escape from the everyday hustle and truly unwind amidst nature’s beauty.

2022

Construction Continues
Villa Pi’s fundamental building structure has now reached completion, paving the way for the next phases of construction to commence at an accelerated pace, ensuring that our vision for Horizon Retreat materializes swiftly and efficiently.

2023

Both Villas Complete

With both villas now complete, the next phase of our project has begun, as the construction of the outdoor landscaping and structural layout is now underway, enhancing the natural beauty of Horizon Retreat and creating inviting spaces for relaxation and enjoyment.

Spring 2024

Outdoor Landscaping and Facilities
Completion of the foundational structures for the Hexagon gym, Court, and Perivoli organic garden will significantly enrich the outdoor experience for our guests.

Fall & Winter 2024

Preparing for the Grand Opening

Ironing out the final details during fall and winter 2024, we are thrilled to announce that the grand opening of our doors will be in early April 2025, welcoming our very first guests to an extraordinary vacation experience nestled in the breathtaking beauty of Kefalonia.
